The club B2 long ago surpassed the typical nightclub format and acquired the status of one of the most popular entertainment centers in Moscow. On the 6th of November 2006 the club celebrated its fifth anniversary.
For two years (2003 and 2004) the club got the prize of Night Life Awards in the nomination “Best music nightclub in Moscow”.
In 2004 B2 was in the hit-list of 5 best Moscow clubs by the Afisha magazine. Another award ‘Club Paradise’ by the international association of nightclubs and entertainment centers was in the nomination ‘Best rock-club 2005’.
B2 originated from the Bunker, this is where ‘2’ in the name of the club comes from.
Today B2 is the biggest club in Moscow and one of the largest clubs in Europe. The five floors of the club (each of them could be a club itself) house a restaurant, a sushi-bar, a billiard room, a jazz club, a modern concert stage, a dance floor, a chill-out, a cinécafé and 7 bars. The heart of the club is a huge red futuristic construction rising high up and piercing the floors like a rod.
The capacity of the club is 2000 people, at the weekends the club entertains to 3000 guests per day. In average, the club receives about 10000 guests every week.
2nd floor — beer restaurant Tuborg. Large screen, displays, sport broadcasts, business-lunch.
3rd floor — the biggest one. Here is the cozy sushi-bar and a jazz ‘club-in-a-club’ — Cool Train Club — a most pleasant place, where daily live jazz concerts and weekend family brunches take place.
4th floor — the main club concert stage in Moscow equipped with the modern light and sound outfit. The capacity of the hall is 1000 people. Concerts, festivals and presentations are held here almost every day.
5th floor — VIP-zone with leather settees and a separate bar.
Rammstein, Nina Hagen, Mouse on Mars, Peaches and Tarwater, Mark Ribot & Los Cubanos Postiloz, Matmatah, Solex, Dead Kennedys, Gonzales, Legendary Pink Dots, Brainstorm, Kosheen, Trey Gunn & Pat Mastelotto, Lydia Lunch, A Silver mt. Zion orchestra, Violet Indiana, Artur H, Michael Gira, Pink Grase, Saint Etienne, Franz Ferdinand, GZA, Deus, Glenn Hughes, Nouvelle Vague and others have performed at B2.
Our frequent guests are “Russian old rock” celebrities — Mashina Vremeni, Garik Sukachyov, Sergey Galanin and Ser’Ga, Zhanna Aguzarova, Nogu Svelo, Neschastniy Sluchay, Moralniy Codex, Crematoriy, Aquarium, Chaif, Chizh & Co, and others. And also Nochnie Snaipery, Naik Borzov, Tantsy Minus, Mara, UmaTurman, 5’Nizza etc. that are not less popular and loved by the audience.
